Weight Watchers - What Should You Eat

Did you make a new year resolution to lose weight? Did it include a very tight diet plan, low fat, high fibre? Forget about all diets. There is good news for all weight watchers. There is really no need to have a diet plan and stick to only fruit juice all day long. The trick to staying slim and fit is to eat a well balanced diet. So, if you are biting into cheese burger, go ahead and enjoy it. Eating fat is not a problem at all provided that it is done moderately. In fact restricting to all fruit diet can lead to several deficiencies in the body which simple fruit cannot fulfill.

The basic idea behind dieting is to eat everything. The big question is how much of everything. Well, for a benchmark, all food is divided into four categories. These are
  1. Cereals. This group includes whole grains like wheat and oats. Should be consumed the most.
  2. Fruit and Vegetables. Should be eaten moderately between meals.
  3. Meat, fish, poultry and milk. Should be included in every meal. Substitutes to Meat and fish as protein sources are soybeans, lima beans, pulses etc.
  4. Fats and Oil. Should be eaten sparingly but included in all meals.

In essence, a good diet plan would include a well balanced diet containing something from the above four food groups. Eat well stay healthy.
